Cutting your software costs
I want to help you save money and I am never going to ask you for anything in return.
Every year I save thousands of pounds by not spending any money on software. This whole exercise began when I was looking at NetSuite pricing as I needed one system to manage the key functions in my business. Just like me You can now do most of the key tasks in your business using software that costs zero. Only the Lord knows why this stuff isn’t evryday knowledge for most business folks. The tragedy is that just about 90% of small business owners don’t know the facts about the amount of free tools out there.
These are the simple steps I have followed to cut my software costs.
- Take 10 mins everyday and carefully search for each category of tool you need.
- Go to www.evernote.com and sign up to this free “memory” service.
- ONLY spend ten minutes every day trying out what you have found.
It took me about for weeks on and off spending max twenty minutes a day to discover all of the tools I am ever going to need. Start by looking at the tools listed below just to get a feel for the stuff I work with on a regular basis.
To help you start saving money immediately my list is divided into two columns, on the right I have listed the software programs you may have purchased or are already using and on the left I have listed the free software.
Here we go:
Just type the name of the free product to the search engines
