My Personal With Social Media To Construct A Brand Specifically For Wholesale And Scented Candles

Social media is now at the forefront of search engine optimisation for many web sites and Internet marketers. Platforms such as Twitter, Face Book and Google Plus are gaining momentum in building a following for many businesses small or large. Millions are being invested by the large companies of the world in realising their social media ambitions and furthering their SEO ambitions. Facebook now has in excess of 700 million user accounts with most users accessing their page on a regular basis. Twitter has uncountable millions of users many with an insatiable thirst to have interaction with each other and with companies.

These socially interactive portals require major consideration by firms large or small. This brief article focuses one or two pearls of knowledge I have picked during my efforts to build a brand for a client with a web presence selling scented soy scented candles and home fragrance products.

Firstly I guess which platform you should target. The simple answer to this question is every one of them. Set up accounts on Twitter and pages on Google and on Face Book. They are free and you can get a feel for which is the right one for you after you’ve been using them for a bit.

Secondly, how you need to connect with your audience. Simply arriving, setting up an account and expecting a whole wave of supporters and interaction will never occur. You want to engage your audience (and don’t forget, they are an audience). Competitions are strongly recommended. They give a real incentive for your audience to follow you as you dangle a prize. Doesn’t have to be a huge prize, just something enticing. My client in the aromatic candle business offers their soy candles. Works very well, especially on Twitter.

Thirdly and lastly, be charismatic. This isn’t easy for some but keep it under consideration. Inventories of products tweeted or posted to Face Book or Google will only leave your fans thinking “so what”! They do not hurt once in a while but unceasing product promotion is a taboo. Throw in an occasional joke (but be very careful, what kind of joke), never swear (you are representing a company after all) and possibly most importantly, portray a picture of confidence and ease utilising the media. Answer to comments, use the channel to publicize promotions and sales, comment on other peoples and firms posts. It’s truly about being seen and building trust.

Welcome the new social media. Use it and you never can say where it’ll get you! Invest a little time and further your SEO efforts in this fun and interactive media.
